I’m having an issue with my Denford Triac spindle motor. It powers on, but only runs at a very low RPM and won’t speed up.
I’m confident this isn’t a mechanical problem as everything spins freely and the machine previously ran normally.
Recently I’ve had some electrical issues in the workshop (a PSU in my PC failed). After that, I powered up the Denford Triac and it initially ran fine. I left it idle for a short while, and when I came back the machine had tripped a 63A RCD.( I have an electrician coming to fix this)
After moving the machine to a different socket, everything powers up as normal, but the spindle still won’t increase speed and remains at a very low RPM.
Has anyone seen this before or got any ideas where to start looking?
